Caterpillar House

This project is a 3,500-square-foot single-family residence consisting of a steel frame superstructure infilled with rammed earth walls and wood stud walls. Rammed earth is used to form the walls at the exterior facade, indoor/outdoor spaces, and landscape retaining walls. This is a LEED Platinum Home project with notable structural contributions, such as fly ash in concrete, FSC-certified lumber, and 24-inch on-center stud framing.
