SAN FRANCISCO WALDORF HIGH SCHOOL

The David Bushnell Center for Athletics is a 9,200 square foot gymnasium and community center will be a hub for athletics, performances, lectures, and community gatherings for the San Francisco Waldorf campus. The gym consists of a simple steel structure, with a lateral system comprised of Sure-Board and plywood shear walls and buckling-restrained braced frames. Highlights of the project include solar collectors and a living wall at the front façade. This building is designed to help the campus achieve the goal of net zero.
