David Strandberg
David grew up in Richmond, Virginia. He studied mechanical engineering, architecture, and structural engineering at Virginia Tech. David moved to San Francisco to work for Skidmore, Owings, and Merrill as a structural engineer. After leaving S.O.M, David formed Yu Strandberg Engineering in Oakland, California, with Peter Yu. After 10 years with Yu Strandberg Engineering, David split with his partner and created Strandberg Engineering in San Francisco.
David currently lives in San Francisco with his wife and two kids. He enjoys making beautiful buildings with great architects during the week and having fun with his wife and boys on the weekends.
