Prior to college, Onessa was interested in architecture but wanted to be an engineer like her dad. She struggled with the decision until her mom asked, “Why not both?”. Onessa soon found her path to Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo and graduated with a bachelor’s in architectural engineering (ARCE).
After graduation, she moved to San Francisco to work at Strandberg Engineering to fulfill her love for structural design.
Outside of the office, Onessa enjoys cycling, staying active, collecting succulents, and visiting her family and dog in her hometown of Elk Grove, California. Currently living in the bay area, she hopes to continue exploring new places and experiencing new foods and cultures.
