PROJECT ENGINEER
Position Overview:
A full-time employee with a California Professional Civil Engineering License. Reporting to a Senior Project Engineer, Associate, and/or Principal, the Project Engineer will support all parts of the project workflow. A project engineer will schedule check-ins with the reporting manager so work can be reviewed, new work can be distributed, and problems can be discussed. A Project Engineer will also work closely with Structural Designers and Junior Designers to complete project work on a task basis.
FLSA Status: Exempt
Salary Range: $100,000 - $140,000 /year, equivalent full-time salary. This range is a good faith estimate provided pursuant to the California Pay Transparency Law. Actual pay rates will be based on various factors, including location, education level, and candidate qualifications.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Civil/Structural/Mechanical Engineering and/or Master’s Degree in Structural Engineering
Years of Experience: 2+ years of experience working with a structural design firm
A California Civil PE license is required
Experience with using a computer with Windows OS and familiar with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Google Suite. Experience with engineering analysis software (RISA and/or ETABs), Enercalc, AutoCAD, and/or Revit.
Experience with timber, reinforced concrete, masonry, and steel design
An understanding of all design phases (SD, DD, PD, CD, CA)
Desire to continually learn and develop in the structural engineering field
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Competent in all key responsibilities of a Structural Designer
