Surf House
This residence fits naturally and sustainably into the coast-side Santa Cruz neighborhood. This design had special detailing considerations for high winds and the beach environment. Features include single-stringer main stairs and large fold-up doors in the garage. The primary structure consists of conventional wood framing with steel elements (including a moment frame) when required by design.
