Color of Life Exhibit
Strandberg Engineering has been providing design services to the California Academy of Sciences for various exhibits over the years. Engineering tasks have consisted of exhibit structure design supported by the floor slab, exhibits that hang from the roof structure, modifications to the existing structure to crane in large whale skeletons, and connection details to provide temporary architecturally exposed connections that fasten to the building’s architecturally exposed structural steel without penetrating or damaging the building’s exposed structure.
