Santa Lucia Preserve III
This is a single-family residence located in the Santa Lucia Preserve. The Main House sits on a hilltop and boasts a butterfly roof, which required a steel spine with wood infill. Expansive windows and sliding doors provide views of the rolling hills that lead all the way to the ocean and allow for natural ventilation through the space. The property also includes a Caretaker's Unit and a Pool House, which mimic the architectural gestures of the Main House. Structural and Architectural collaboration included the design of the transom framing, fireplace, and the cantilevered Owner's Bedroom.
