Edgewood Residence
This San Francisco horizontal addition and renovation of a single-family residence received a full-seismic upgrade comprising of wood shear walls and steel moment-resisting frames. The house was raised to allow easier access to the garage, provide greater privacy from the sidewalk, and create a high-ceilinged family room opening to landscaped terraces stepping down the site. Large windows at the rear allow the homeowners to take advantage of the stunning views at all floors.
